Schaffnit Chiropractic & Rehabilitation
Dr. Blake Schaffnit
Dr. Schaffnit is happy to call Glen Ellyn home and has for the past 15 years. He graduated high school from Glenbard South and studied Kinesiology at Illinois State University. Dr. Schaffnit did his post graduate studies at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. Here he studied chiropractic techniques and worked with many leading professionals in the profession. He was fortunate enough to work for the Chiropractor for the St. Louis Rams and Blues where he saw firsthand the importance of chiropractic and injury rehabilitation.
Previously, Dr. Schaffnit worked at a clinic in Romeoville, IL where the practice saw many people of retirement age. This gave him experience dealing with many injuries that have been chronically painful and non responsive to traditional approaches. Pain relief was a major focus of these patients, which was achieved through advanced functional protocols.
Currently Dr. Schaffnit is the owner of Schaffnit Chiropractic and Rehabilitation and promotes health and wellness throughout the greater DuPage area. He enjoys working with everyone from young athletes to individuals who seek to improve their health and wellness. The doctor has seen successful results with pain relief for his patients, but stresses the importance of wellness and taking care of your body. His strong belief in wellness shows in his patients by not only meeting short-term pain relief goals with them but long term improvements in daily living.
He specializes in acute and chronic injuries, rehabilitative exercises, and setting wellness goals. This is done with proven techniques such as chiropractic manipulation, physical therapy, massage therapy, and Active Release Technique (a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves)
Dr. Schaffnit believes that direct one on one patient contact is very critical in patient care. This is why he personally works with all his patients from initial exam, through the rehabilitation process, and finally to the completion of care:
"It is absolutely critical that my patients get the individual care they deserve by working with me directly. In a time where it is easy to get lost in the "shuffle" of a big office or group, I dedicate my time and resources to the patient. Individualize care is the cornerstone of my belief because no two problems are identical."-Dr. Blake Schaffnit
